Thousands of people gathered at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Hamoud, Karak, Jordan on Sunday, as eight of the nine Christians killed in Friday’s attack on the church were laid to rest. The ninth victim, Mohammed al-Qasous, was buried on Monday. Extra security stood watch as the coffins, each draped in a Jordanian flag, were carried through the crowd gathered at the church. Tributes to the victims are going viral on social media. The nine men killed were gunned down during another funeral on Oct. 23. Of the 40 other believers who were injured, two remain in critical condition.
