On Sunday, Jan. 18, Pastor Jagadish Mishra prepared to lead a worship service at his home in Odisha, India, with his wife and their 8-year-old daughter. With nearly 30 Christians present, a mob of 50 angry Hindu nationalists stormed into the pastor’s home and started brutally beating him. As Mishra fell to the ground, members of the mob repeatedly punched and kicked him. His face quickly swelled as a result.
