21 of 22 Churches Destroyed in Christian Town Since 2021 Coup
Source excerpt
On Jan. 30, the Burma Research Institute (BRI) released a scathing report detailing destructive attacks, killings, and harassment of Christians and church buildings since the military coup in 2021 that forcefully took control of Myanmar. The report focuses on the persecution of Christians across Chin, Kachin, Karenni, and Karen states, and the Sagaing Region within Myanmar. BRI Board Chairman, the Rev. Dr Robin Stoops, said the Burma Research Institute’s latest report documents the ongoing trauma faced by Christian communities in Burma as persecution by the military junta continues.
