The Christian New Year celebration on Jan. 6 in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia, was rejected and disrupted by the radical organization PASS (Defenders of Ahlus Sunnah). The organization protested the implementation of a Christian Spiritual Revival Service (KKR) led by Pastor Stephen Tong on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Bandung. A week earlier, on Dec. 29, 2025, a letter had circulated rejecting the KKR scheduled for Jan. 6, citing propaganda aimed at converting Muslims. However, the church insisted on its right to worship, and the service proceeded.
