On the morning of Oct. 19, the sound of drones filled the air above Sudan’s capital. According to reports, the Rapid Support Forces militia launched an aerial attack on areas of Khartoum under the control of the Sudanese Armed Forces. Four people were killed and several others injured. For ordinary residents, another day of war had begun. For the small Christian community still living in and around the city, it was one more reminder that peace remains far away. The conflict that erupted in April 2023 has turned Khartoum into a landscape of damaged buildings, empty streets, and broken lives.
